Chairman of the Australian Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Dr John Harrison said that the Orthopaedic community has been shocked and saddened to hear of the tragic deaths of Dr Ian Pike and Dr Lex Bartram and their wives Dr Jane Pike and Dr Heather Bartram in the Cooma air crash.
Whilst the State Coroner has not officially confirmed the details of the those on board it is believed that Dr Lex Bartram, Dr Ian Pike, their wives, and two local business people were killed in the plane crash.
Dr Harrison said “Drs Pike and Bartram were highly regarded Orthopaedic Surgeons based in Albury NSW.”
“Our hearts go out to the families of these people, particularly the children, who are now without parents. We are also mindful of the family and friends of the pilot and another passenger who have been killed and we feel for their families as well” said Dr Harrison.
